For Employers and Sponsors
Sponsorship means that you support your employee’s participation in the program and are aware of its demands. Sponsoring promising managers in the Executive MBA program is a strategic, high-return investment in your company’s success. It equips the future leaders of your company with the technical skills and confidence to question assumptions, innovate, and implement initiatives that benefit your organization’s bottom line. And it sustains organizational goals that drive your future growth: professional development, incentive alignment, and succession planning.
Perhaps most importantly, Olin’s unique approach to leadership and personal development endows graduates with the skills and ability to drive creativity and transfer their knowledge across your organization. As leaders, they serve as role models and catalysts in the development of leadership for others in your organization.
We also use the term "sponsorship" to indicate financial support. Although employer funding is not required for admission, it does offer extraordinary rewards. According to the GMAC Global MBA Graduate surveys, it takes an average of only 17 months for a company to gain a return on its initial investment.
All firms that employ our students are considered sponsors, regardless of whether they provide tuition reimbursement because these employers must grant their employees the necessary time off to complete our program. For this reason, we make every effort to work closely with sponsors to ensure they understand our program, and we encourage them to integrate it into the employee's development plans. We make our program a valuable tool available to managers looking to develop their senior leadership through intensive, university-based training and invite you to get to know our program better.
We are grateful for the support of the Anheuser-Busch Foundation and Emerson Electric, through whose generosity we have been able to operate from our state-of-the-art classroom at the Fudan School of Management.
