Yueshan Yu, PhD, Operations and Manufacturing Management 2014
On the Olin Experience:
During my past five years at Olin, I’m grateful for the valuable opportunity to learn from and collaborate with excellent professors from different fields. I also enjoy the work and discussions I engage in with fellow inquisitive students of diverse backgrounds. As a teaching assistant (TA), I work closely with professors, which has enabled me to mirror their academic approach (as well as develop own) in the classroom. My work as a TA has allowed me to witness and contribute to the dedication and eagerness of undergraduate students; and has provided me with the opportunity to collaborate with the Professional MBA and Executive MBA students on finding ways to apply knowledge to real-world practice.
On collaboration with Faculty:
My work focuses on the study of upgrading in capacity management. I feel fortunate to have such a devoted mentor in Professor Fuqiang Zhang. He generously shares his time with me and guides me toward innovative ideas and important methodologies. I think my collaboration with him during my doctoral program is going to benefit me throughout my future academic career.
