Ashley Macrander, Ph.D., is Senior Associate Dean of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access; Graduate Programs Enrollment Management and Academic Affairs; and a Professor of Practice in Leadership at Washington University in St. Louis. In this role, Ashley guides the Enrollment Management and Student Affairs team serving Olin's graduate education programs, including: the Executive MBA, Professional MBA, MBA, Specialized Master's Programs, Online MBA and Online Specialized Master's Programs. Aligned with this research agenda, Ashley developed a seminar on comparative and international education, taught as part of a summer school program at Tsinghua University in Beijing, and studied intercultural communication at the University of Helsinki. Ashley has published work on the social determinants of access to higher education in South Africa, trends in international student mobility to the United States following the 2008 economic downturn, and regional international student mobility. She has also co-edited a volume entitled <i>The Crisis of Race in Higher Education: A Day of Discovery and Dialogue</i> (Emerald Books, 2017). Ashley holds a doctorate in Education from Washington University in St. Louis, and a Master’s in Higher Education Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies both from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
