John is a recently retired partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. At the time of his retirement, he was a partner in the Accounting Services Group of the National Office of PwC where he served as the Financial Instruments Topic Team Leader. In this capacity, he was responsible for formulating firm positions on proposed accounting and financial reporting standards, assisting engagement teams in resolving technical accounting issues related to the accounting for financial instruments and developing publications and training materials on new pronouncements and current practice issues for financial instruments. John’s areas of emphasis involved debt and equity financings, derivative financial instruments and hedge accounting.
