Rovina Valashiya is passionate about product strategy, entrepreneurship, and leadership. She enjoys an exciting career as the head of product management for Amazon Web Services (“AWS”) Marketing Website and has successfully launched businesses, both within Amazon and independently. In 2018, she received Amazon’s <i>Just Do It </i>Award from CEO, Jeff Bezos, for innovating on behalf of customers to build and launch Amazon Textures & Hues – an online shop for textured hair care. Her Amazon career began in 2012 with positions in retail, supply chain, product management, and product marketing, while also serving as the president of Amazon’s Black Employee Network (2016-2018). She authored <i>Pray for Potatoes </i>which guides readers on a pursuit of professional success through biblical principles and previously operated a business-to-business Christian streetwear brand. Rovina studied at Washington University in St. Louis and holds an MBA from Olin Business School and an undergraduate Finance and Marketing degrees. Outside of work, she is an avid snowboarder and basketball player, fan of live music, public speaker and explorer of the great outdoors.
