Rebecca Dohrman is Senior Lecturer in Management Communications at the Olin Business School at Washington University. Her research and teaching interest center on how we can meaningfully integrate new technologies into modern organizations and the socialization process of young people (particularly women) into high-tech fields, such as computing. Her consulting work focuses on local initiatives to improve computing programs in elementary and middle schools to increase engagement with and confidence in young people and high-tech career tracks.
She has a PhD in Organizational Communication from Purdue University and a MS in Software Development from Maryville University. She is working on the GIS certificate from University College at Washington University currently. She earned a MA (Research) degree in Communication and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and International Studies from Saint Louis University. She has previously studied or taught abroad in Spain, France, and Denmark.
