Jerry has been at Washington University in St Louis since 2021. He conducts research on market microstructure, the capital market consequences of firms' voluntary disclosure choices, and the role that social media plays in firms' information environments. Jerry earned his Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Michigan and also holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in Accounting from the University of Florida, as well as a Masters in Business Analytics from Southern Methodist University. Before joining the PhD Program at the University of Michigan, he was a practicing CPA in the state of Florida where he was employed by BDO as a tax research professional and by Gleim Publications as an editor of their accounting exam review materials.
