Olin's Executive MBA helps current and former officers in the US military transition to civilian leadership positions.

We’re Here to Help

Future Executives. Military Leaders. Executive MBA.

The business world needs leaders, and as current or former officer in the US military, you already are one.

Your military experience offers keen insights into how processes and people work together to achieve goals. Now you want to take your training and talent to the business world.

An Executive MBA (EMBA) from Washington University gives you a distinct vantage point, what we call Business without Blind Spots. This degree prepares you for roles in upper management, the C-suite, or launching your own business. You’ll develop an integrated view of an enterprise, breaking down silos and seeing beyond what has always been. You’ll become skilled at bringing people together in more relevant and innovative ways. And you’ll experience an immediate and ongoing ROI through the time you commit and your dedication to this 20-month program.

WashU offers its EMBA program in St. Louis as well as globally in Shanghai and Mumbai*. Whichever campus you choose, as a veteran or active duty member of the military, you’ll receive support to help you transition your preexisting knowledge and experience to the business sector.

Set Apart by Excellence

The WashU EMBA curriculum at Olin Business School is distinctive among other MBA programs. Our students focus on relationships, leadership, outcomes, and opportunities. You can expect these emphases to leave an impact on your career. However, the impression your time here has on your life will be more far-reaching.

Relational

Great businesses run on great relationships, and that starts with the trusting, collaborative environment that’s the hallmark of our EMBA program. You’ll be placed into a carefully curated team that reflects diverse, complementary backgrounds and skills. EMBA students often tell us these teams become both learning laboratories and second families. You’ll also build relationships with our renowned faculty members who are invested in students’ success and authentically excited by collaborative learning.

All along the way, you’ll meet with an executive coach to redefine your personal brand. These specialized, one-on-one executive career coaching help you transition your strengths and military accomplishments into professional opportunities.

Resourceful

Our EMBA students are innately collaborative and passionate about making a broader impact across an organization. Long before you considered earning a degree at WashU, you learned to manage people and refine systems. Our EMBA program takes that knowledge and amplifies it. Over time, coursework boosts your insight and critical thinking skills, enabling you to look up and out, evaluate a business at every level, and take nothing at face value. You’ll become a systems thinker—the organizational version of connective tissue.

Reputation

Washington University’s reputation for excellence is well known. As an EMBA student and graduate, you’ll immediately experience the power of the WashU network. Our faculty and alumni have strong voices in the business world; through them and through our alumni, our expertise, impact, and reputation grow each year.
