Personal Interests:
Professor Marcus is a lover of international travel, her favorite continent is Africa where she has explored 14 countries. She is passionate about the plight of parentless children and is an advocate for wards of the state within foster care/adoption programs, where she has spent two decades volunteering her time.

Prior to Olin Business School, Gisele Marcus was a General Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Prior, she was the Chief Operating Officer of the St. Louis Regional Chamber, one of the top 10 revenue generating Chambers in the country. She spent 13 years in the commercial real estate/facility management outsourcing business between Johnson Controls and Cushman & Wakefield. Gisele held several roles including operationally leading a $800M business segment globally, an expatriate assignment in South Africa, and spearheading a $1B strategic growth initiative to expand market presence into urban communities. For three Fortune 250 organizations she has defined and/or implemented diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies. Professor Marcus is a TEDxHarvard speaker on the topic of networking and relationship management.
