Career coaching
You partner with a career coach who takes time to learn all about you and your ambitions. Your coach provides individualized mentoring and helps guide your job search strategy for specific positions or companies. These relationships don't end after graduation and securing a job—you still have access to career coaching as an alum.

International students
We can help you design and manage your career action plan, whether you intend to work in the United States or return to your home region. You can maximize your job search by looking for positions that are directly related to your field of study and are a match to your unique skill set.
Working in the United States
We use a variety of databases and applications to assist students with visa sponsorship, H1B and green card application statistics, and compensation data and job titles, as well as selected information of foreign workers. Our close partnership with OISS allows us to provide international students with the most updated visa and immigration information and keep them updated on trends.
Many of our Specialized Master’s degrees are STEM designated, and our Full-Time MBA program has a STEM option. With these degrees, you may be eligible for three years of OPT time (12 months of OPT and 24 months of extension).
Our employer relations professionals focus on industries and organizations across the United States, developing relationships to provide opportunities for students to connect to top national employers regardless of location.
Working in Asia
A dedicated Asia employer relations professional works closely with top employers and alumni in Asian markets. In China, we have a robust alumni network in internet, finance, FMCG, consulting and other industries. With more than 27,000 Olin alumni worldwide, you’re part of a strong and supportive alumni network after graduation.
Club Engagement
Clubs established by many different students and alumni—African, Chinese, Indian, Japanese, LGBTQ, Korean, South Asian and more—create additional support networks. Throughout the academic year, WashU partners with student clubs to offer industry-specific, career-search-focused workshops that prepare you for the real world.
