Salih Tutun


Salih Tutun is a faculty member in the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis. His research focuses on machine learning, network science, and explainable AI for understanding how human behaviors and social interactions affect the business. His teaching, research, and work experiences in academia and industry have given him many opportunities to use his skills. For example, he received the Reid Teaching Awards in 2021 and 2022. His research (the NEPAR project) is ranked by National News Hits and has over 9 million clicks in two months. The research is mentioned by more than 40 global news organizations and is published on the front cover of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Work magazine. His research has also been recognized as a finalist at the IISE Cup Competitions in 2020 and 2021. Finally, with MDScan research, he has been in the first rank as Gold Winner at the IISE Cup competitions in 2023.
