Personal Interests:
Dan lives in St. Louis with his wife and sons, Theodore and Harry. He appreciates modern translations of the writing of Miguel de Cervantes, the music of Johnny Cash, and the food at the original Dreamland BBQ.

Prior to joining the Olin Business School, Elfenbein taught in the MBA program at the University of California - Berkeley. He has also worked as an economist for the President's Council of Economic Advisers and as a management consultant for the Monitor Group. Elfenbein is a member of the Academy of Management and American Economic Association and serves as a referee for numerous academic journals. In addition to his many research interests, Elfenbein has studied the economics of NFL ticket scalping on-line.
