WashU Olin alumnus Austin Hollo, BSBA 2007, is the inaugural recipient of the United Way Miami Next-Gen Philanthropist Award for his work with the organization.
The award recognizes leaders 45 or younger who have made significant contributions—financial, organizational and volunteer—to the United Way’s mission and vision. It was introduced to celebrate the Miami organization’s 100th anniversary. Hollo was honored for contributions that include his work with the United Way Miami Board of Directors and Young Leaders Executive Committee.
Hollo is a third-generation leader in Florida East Coast Realty, a Miami real estate development firm. As chief operating officer, his responsibilities include development, strategic marketing and evaluation of the company’s real estate acquisitions.
In addition to his work with the United Way, Hollo serves on the boards of Florida International University’s Tibor and Sheila Hollo School of Real Estate, FIU’s Center for Leadership, the Miami-Dade Beacon Council and the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the Young Professionals of the Lighthouse for the Miami Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
He will be honored at a February 8 event hosted by United Way Miami’s Tocqueville Society.
