David Butler
Professor Butler founded Heartland Innovations, LLC in 2006 to focus on developing software system solutions to operational, regulatory compliance, and patient safety challenges in healthcare. His company utilizes enabling technologies and engineering methodologies that interface with existing health IT systems to deliver innovative, data-driven software applications. Prior to founding Heartland Innovations, he had a 24-year corporate career with DuPont and Dade Behring in a breadth of leadership roles in Sales, Engineering, and Supply Chain as well as professional assignments in R&D, Product & Process Development, Project Management, and Technical Support.
