Mariagiovanna Baccara
Mariagiovanna Baccara is a Professor of Economics at the Olin School of Business, where she was Economics Area Chair from 2015 to 2021. She is a research fellow of the Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR), a fellow of the Society of Advancement of Economic Theory (SAET), and she currently holds editorial positions at American Economic Journal: Microeconomics, Theoretical Economics, and International Journal of Industrial Organization. Her work has been published in the American Economic Review, the Review of Economic Studies, the Journal of Economic Theory, and other leading academic journals. Currently, Professor Baccara’s main research interests involve matching, the markets for information, organization theory, and social networks. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton University in 2003, and she was an Assistant Professor at NYU Stern before joining Olin in 2010.
