An Interactive Curriculum

Your undergraduate curriculum is packed with interesting, informative subject matter; real-world experiences; and opportunities to spread your wings.

Obviously, you focus on business fundamentals and your business major. But with your business degree, you must take at least 40 percent of your classes in areas other than business, which encourages you to broaden your educational horizons and pursue a minor (or two), second major, or second undergraduate degree. To graduate, you must complete a minimum of 120 units of course work.
  • 42.5 units of professional business requirements
  • 17.5 units of business electives
  • 48 units outside of business
  • 12 units of additional electives

You must take all your business and required courses for grades, and you must maintain at least a 2.0 GPA overall and in your business school classes. See the WashU Bulletin for detailed degree requirements.

    Hallmarks of the curriculum include:
  • Freshman entry into the business degree program, with Foundations of Business course
  • Eight different business majors
  • Wide selection of electives
  • Emphasis on critical-thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Three experiential-learning courses, with consulting emphasis
  • Numerous study-abroad offerings, including international internships
  • Research and group projects
  • Required career-preparation course taught by the associate dean and director of the Weston Career Center
