Senior Honors Research

Expand your educational experience through research

From your very first semester at WashU Olin, you’ll be exposed to research and its impact on the business world. Professors bring a research mind-set into the classroom, knowing that this kind of complex thinking is demanded by employers today. Cases and collaborative projects allow you to team with classmates to find answers to complex questions, thoughtfully fusing data and values in your decision-making.

As a senior, you can earn the designation Honors in Management at graduation by completing a two-semester research seminar. A fall-semester research course is followed in the spring by a team-based, research-intensive project where you’ll present your findings to the Olin community. You’ll work alongside faculty members on research that interests you and challenges you.

“Data in and of itself is meaningless. Students who undertake research understand the power of data—how to gather it, how to interpret it and how to use it to make better decisions.”

—William Bottom, Joyce and Howard Wood Distinguished Professor of Organizational Behavior
