Scholars in Business

Scholars in BusinessAs a scholarship sponsor, you can direct your support to either MBA or BSBA students and name the scholarship any way you choose (e.g., honoring a loved one, a mentor or a teacher). The school assigns the awards to students in the fall, gives student biographies to the sponsors, and invites students and sponsors to the annual scholarship dinner in November. The majority of these awards are partial scholarships, with the balance of funds provided by loans, work-study income, and the school's unrestricted gifts from other donors.

Options for sponsoring scholarships:

  • An annual gift of $5,000 or more qualifies individual donors for membership in the William Greenleaf Eliot Society.
  • A permanently endowed scholarship can be funded with a gift of $100,000 or more, which can be paid over a period of up to five years. Income from this fund is then used to provide a named scholarship in perpetuity.

Many sponsors develop relationships with their scholarship recipients. Not only do you see firsthand the impact of your contribution, but your investment also pays dividends in the student's educational and personal growth.
