From Applicable Content to Virtual Happy Hours

Responsibilities
I work for 84.51, which is the data analytics arm of Kroger. I’m responsible for building customer-centric features for our web-app platform. My job is to find the sweet spot between business requirements and technical feasibility. I’m essentially a troubleshooter, soliciting feedback from app users to solve customers’ pain points. 

Why Olin? 
I loved my experience as an undergraduate student at Washington University and found graduate school equally enriching. The teachers are engaged and supportive, the course content is stimulating, and everyone you meet is brilliant.  

Favorite Course  
Professor Andrew Knight’s Teamwork and Leading Organizations course was extraordinary. It provided the template for seamless successful interactions in group projects during subsequent semesters. Plus, the content was applicable to my day-to-day work life. 

The Olin Community 
We have a very supportive network. Even though we’re virtual, many of us have found ways to meet our classmates or jump online for virtual happy hours. You would think we’d been friends for ages! 

Career Enhancement 
Olin has strengthened my fundamental business skill set. I came to Olin with little formal business education, and the Online MBA has given me the foundational knowledge I need to advance in my career—so much so that I’ve made a lateral career move and earned a promotion.
