Responsibilities

I work in life reinsurance, leading the team responsible for hedging risks within Reinsurance Group of America’s global financial solutions division. This is my eighth role in 19 years at RGA, where I’ve spent most of my time in the investments department.

Why Olin?

The program is broadly viewed as very high quality, and the location allowed me to tackle an EMBA while working and spending time with my family.

Favorite Experience

There were several memorable class experiences, but the real joy was bonding with my classmates over a drink or two at the Ritz (our de facto classroom, thanks to COVID). I thoroughly enjoyed discussing many issues, expanding my view of our world and having a great time with some amazing people. 

Faculty

The faculty is exceptional. Their knowledge, approach to teaching and constant willingness to engage in discussion drives learning forward. St. Louis is fortunate to have such a high-caliber program.

Advice for Prospective Students

Twenty months of exhaustion will repay you thousandfold. Embrace the experience, and see where it takes you.

Looking Ahead

While an MBA certainly polishes a resume, my Olin experience helped me to find what I truly enjoy doing. This knowledge will help me to make decisions as my career advances.
