Responsibilities

I’m an immunology sales representative for AbbVie, a pharmaceuticals company. My primary responsibility is to promote and sell products that combat systemic autoimmune conditions. My clients are mainly rheumatologists. It’s my job to strengthen relationships with these specialists and provide them with the latest clinical data detailing the benefits and risks associated with AbbVie’s products.

Why Olin?

I chose Olin because of its outstanding reputation. The school offers a comprehensive curriculum covering business fundamentals, including finance, marketing and operations, as well as leadership programs. Also, the school’s active alumni network offers the opportunity to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

Immersion Residency

My favorite Olin experience was the immersion residency, which gave me the chance to study at the Brookings Institution. At the noted research organization in Washington, DC, I learned from numerous experts from Think Tank Row and gained a deeper understanding of the intersection of government and business. One highlight was meeting with Major Garrett, chief Washington correspondent at CBS News.

Honing Skills

Olin’s classes have helped me hone my communication and problem-solving skills. The school’s emphasis on experiential learning and real-world application has been invaluable. I’m thinking more critically, making more informed decisions, and dealing more effectively with colleagues and clients at AbbVie.

Fun Fact

People might be surprised to know that I walked on to the football team at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. I was a defensive back and was fortunate to be teammates with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who led the Pittsburgh Steelers to two Super Bowl championships.
