Wells Fargo Advisors Center for Finance and Accounting Research (WFA-CFAR)

WFA-CFAR is dedicated to the dissemination of cutting-edge research in finance and accounting by encouraging our faculty and students to work more closely with companies.

Welcome to the Wells Fargo Advisors Center for Finance and Accounting Research. WFA-CFAR is dedicated to the dissemination of cutting-edge research in finance and accounting by encouraging our faculty and students to work more closely with companies. We do this through the creative design of courses in our degree programs, executive education programming, research white papers, conferences, publications and projects for companies that involve both Olin faculty and students.

WFA-CFAR works closely with our advisory board to make sure our efforts stay focused on meeting the needs of business. Through our Specialized Master’s programs—Master of Accounting, Master of Science in Finance and Global Master of Finance—as well as the DBA program in finance, PhD programs, and our finance curriculum in the BSBA and MBA programs, the center facilitates the forging of stronger ties among our faculty, students and business.

Additionally, through our faculty’s research, WFA-CFAR brings the most exciting research being conducted in finance and accounting into the domain of practitioners. We do this through posting white papers, hosting center conferences, publishing our See Far magazine and practicum projects that help implement new ideas for organizational change.

We are grateful to Wells Fargo Advisors for its generous gift to endow $4 million to Olin Business School to rename the center. This gift strengthens WFA-CFAR’s role as a source of cutting-edge finance and accounting research that, in turn, enhances our teaching experience for students and creates practical applications for the business community.
