Q. What is the total tuition for the Global Master of Finance program?

Q. Are scholarships available for the Global Master of Finance program?
A. No, but as indicated on the Cost and Aid page, each school has discounted its tuition significantly.

Q. Will I be eligible to work in the U.S. under Optional Practical Training (OPT) for 12 months after the completion of the second summer of the dual degree program?
A. No, because you will not have been in the United States for a long enough period of time to qualify for OPT under US government regulations.

Q. Who will help me with my job search during the program?
A. Career centers at the partner universities will provide career counseling and employment services. In addition, you'll have access to WashU’s extensive network of alumni throughout the world. Therefore, students will benefit from the employment networks of both schools.

Q. Will I receive one degree at the end of this program, or two?
A. All GMF students earn a master's degree from WashU (Master of Science in Finance). The second certification earned varies by partner. See the Global Partners page for a comparison. The GMF program gives you a quality education in two countries and a broader and deeper background in finance than you would acquire from one school alone.

Q. Will students be admitted to the program by WashU, by the partner university, or by both?
A. Students will be admitted by both schools, so that both faculties will have full confidence in the quality of students enrolling in the GMF program. If you have already submitted a full application, with a signed online FERPA document, to WashU's Olin Business School, you will not need to submit additional application materials.

Q. Where will students live during the program?
A. Accommodation in St. Louis: In the summer months, Olin has access to housing in Washington University residences, so GMF students will be able to live near campus. Accommodation arrangements at partner universities vary.

Q. When will the program begin?
A. In the first summer of the program, Foundation courses will be available online beginning May 1, and exams will be held on campus the last week in June. For details on program duration, see the Global Partners page.

Q. Has this degree been certified outside the United States?
A. Olin Business School is accredited by AACSB (the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) International. Less than 5 percent of business schools across the globe have earned the distinction. Certification for partner degrees varies by country/accrediting agency. Graduates seeking certification by the Ministry of Education in China have received positive outcomes.
