Sequence of On-Campus Locations
All GMF students begin the program as a cohort during the summer semester, living on WashU’s campus. You start with a four-course/six-credit summer semester.
In August, you travel to a partner university to pursue the second program of study, and then return to WashU for a second summer semester.
WashU's second semester curriculum includes immersion courses in New York and Washington, DC, that explore US financial markets, policymaking, legislative processes, enforcement agencies and the Federal Reserve. Courses in Washington, DC, are offered in collaboration with WashU at Brookings, part of the Brookings Institution, an internationally acclaimed nonprofit public policy research organization.
Most programs conclude after the second WashU semester, but some partners require a final semester, either on campus with the partner university, or via classes taken remotely.
