​Online learning opportunities for high school and college students

WashU Olin’s Gateway to Business Programs offer high school and college students opportunities to learn about business over the summer. Whether it’s our courses for high school students or certificates for college students, you’ll earn academic credit while you develop important business savvy and professional communications skills that will enhance your resume and your career outlook.

Gateway to Business Programs for High School Students

Gateway to Business is an online business fundamentals program designed to provide high school students with a general understanding of business and professional communications. Whether you’re considering studying business in college, or you’re already planning to major in a nonbusiness area like arts, sciences or engineering, this program will provide you with a comprehensive introduction to business, leadership, teamwork skills and career preparedness. For the second half of the program, choose between a focus on entrepreneurship or sports business.

Gateway for Business Program for College Students

Gateway to Business Certificates

Gateway to Business online certificates give college students pursuing nonbusiness majors and minors an opportunity to gain a solid understanding of business to complement their undergraduate studies. The first half of the program will include curriculum centered on an introduction to business, leadership, personal and professional development, and business communications. For the second half of the program, you'll focus on entrepreneurship with curriculum that includes real-world examples of founding, operating and exiting a startup, how to think like an entrepreneur, and potential career paths. Creative problem solving, continuous discovery and experiential components are woven into coursework throughout the program.

Open to: Rising college freshman to recent graduates
Dates: May 24 to June 10, M/T/W/TH, 3:00-6:00 p.m. CT; June 14th to July 15, M/T/TH, 3:00-6:00 p.m. CT
