Singapore Management University - MS in Applied Finance

One program...two degrees.

The distinctive Global Master of Finance (GMF) program format enables you to earn a Master of Science in Finance (MSF) degree from Washington University and a Master of Science in Applied Finance degree from Singapore Management University (SMU) in 17+ months.



You begin the program at WashU with a four-course/six-credit summer semester. You’ll return to WashU for a second summer semester when you rejoin the Global Master of Finance cohort for immersions in New York and Washington, DC. You conclude the program with final semester and internship at SMU.

SMU is accredited by AACSB and EQUIS. All courses are taught by faculty members and by industry experts who bring their real-world experience into the classroom. Program subject matter includes structured products, hedge funds, and private equity.

Housing

International students are required to secure and pay for their own accommodation in Singapore prior to arrival. The SMU campus is conveniently located in the city and is well-served by public transport. There is a variety of accommodation available in Singapore such as private student hostels and private apartments. Start your search early at www.propertyguru.com.sg/. Monthly rent ranges from $900 for a single bedroom to $3,500 to $4,000 for an apartment that houses two or three students. A helpful site for cost-of-living information is www.guidemesignapore.com.

The Dato' Kho Hui Meng Career Centre at Singapore Management University will provide a full range of career development services, including workshops on job search skills and techniques as well as opportunities for students to meet employers.

Program Tuition and Fees

Tuition covers coursework, including immersion courses in New York City and Washington, DC. Additional costs covered only during WashU immersion courses include housing, some meals, transportation between New York and Washington, DC, and transportation back to St. Louis, Missouri.

Tuition does not include housing costs at either institution, textbooks, supplies, meal plans, or travel from your residential location to either of the campuses.

Medical insurance is included with tuition for SMU, but not for WashU.
