George and Carol Bauer Leadership Center

The Bauer Leadership Center equips leaders of competence and character to make a positive and principled difference in their organizations, their communities and society at large.

WashU Olin’s Bauer Leadership Center (BLC) is grounded in the proposition that true leadership in business requires the ability to deliver business results while staying true to one’s values and responsibilities.

Values-based leaders produce economic value for companies while creating meaningful careers, more engaging workplaces and more responsible enterprises. Our objective—the development of values-based leaders—is made possible by the generous support of George and Carol Bauer. Their vision, energy and example of ethical leadership have been, and will continue to be, an inspiration. The Center focuses on student development via leadership coursework, community engagement opportunities with leadership impact, research development and funding and fellows opportunities. 

Students will also have the opportunity to experience the resources provided by the Bauer Leaders Academy while attending WashU. Also funded by the support of George and Carol Bauer, the academy is focused on helping students build leadership skills inside and outside of the classroom.
